Ssemuddu Outclassed Kimbugwe to Crown Season II in Style | Uganda Boxing Champions League
Muzamir “Take Over” Ssemuddu gave Broline “Stylist” Kimbugwe a claic performance to win the grand finale of the Uganda Boxing Champions League at UMA Show Ground on Tuesday. The 5-0 unanimous win crowned Ssemuddu the Light Middleweight Elite champion and sent the crowd into jubilation.
Ssemuddu, who lost to Zebra Jr Ssenyange in season one, kicked off the fight with great pace, searching for the powerful punch that could take Kimbugwe to his knees. But Kimbugwe kept firm while the crowd backed Ssemuddu. Ssemuddu’s punches eventually got the best of Kimbugwe in the third round, ending the fight with a victory for the red corner after the fifth round.
The victory marked Ssemuddu’s fourth win of the season, displaying his great improvement with the Kokolo Boxing Club. In a separate fight, Joshua Tukamuhebwa knocked out Paul Raskara in the second round to take home the Lightwelter (63.5 Kg) Elite belt.
Ssemuddu’s manager, John Blaq, also known as the African Boy, accompanied Ssemuddu in the ring as the fight went on. The win was a testament to the fighter’s skill and determination.
