Tragic Murder of Primary Six Pupil at Lover’s Home in Uganda

In a shocking incident in Ayivu West Division, Arua City, a primary six pupil was brutally killed, and his body burned at his lover’s home. The police are investigating the heinous crime, with suspects believed to be members of the lover’s family.

The Incident

The victim, Richard Waiswa, a 16-year-old pupil at Kova Primary School, was found dead near a swamp on June 3. He had allegedly sneaked out to meet his lover, also a pupil at the same school, but was attacked by assailants suspected to be from the girl’s family.

Police Investigation

West Nile Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Ms. Josephine Angucia, confirmed that detectives are gathering information. Initial findings indicate that Waiswa was followed and attacked due to suspicions of an affair. His body was discovered with multiple head wounds before being set on fire.

The community is in shock and mourning. Police have urged the public to report such matters instead of taking the law into their hands. The suspects are still at large, and authorities are intensifying efforts to apprehend them.
